Feynman Table

2016

Personal project

The Feynman table started as an experiment to create a structure that seemed to be born of the bevel of the top. This solution proved to be very efficient in structuring the whole piece while giving character to the table.

Corner of the light oak Feynman table with one slender, tapered leg rising to the rounded top, on a grey concrete floor.
Front view of the whole table: a light oak top with softly rounded corners on four slender legs, against a white wall and a concrete floor.
Three-quarter view of the Feynman table from above, on a concrete floor in the corner of a white room.
Top view of the oak tabletop and its rounded corner, with wide boards, visible grain and a leg curving up at the edge.
Open sketchbook on a dark wood surface, with pen sketches of low tables and sideboards on slender legs, and details of their curved leg joints.
