Fernando Rivero Sosa was born in 1986 in Mexico City, where he studied Industrial Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana, earning him his BA title in Industrial Design. His first approach with design on a professional scale came early when this thesis project won the first place price at the Mexican Microsoft Imagine Cup award. Later on, Fernando decided to focus his creative work in furniture and interior design. He joined the design and development team of the prestigious Mexican furniture brand Pirwi, where he developed new products and branches for the company.

In 2015 he launched his own design studio called Fernando Rivero Design Office. A design consultancy specializing in furniture and product design. His studio works mainly in furniture and object design and has collaborated with brands like, Artelinea and Pirwi. In 2016 he co-founded HUMO, a contemporary furniture design studio based in Mexico City. Fernando Rivero's work has been showcased in the International Furniture Fair of Guadalajara México, Wanted Design in New York City and in the Tamayo Museum in Mexico City as part of the Territorio Creativo: Inedito for the 2016 and 2017 editions of Mexico's Design Week.

Fernando received the mention bien for his studies in the Master in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship at ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland.
